The Development of  'Dreams & Wishes'

The idea for the development of a charitable organization, solely dedicated to making

Dreams and Wishes come true for those children deemed underprivileged has been a

work in progress and was largely influenced by a number of personal experiences, impressions, and a combination of ideas by the founders. 

Inspiration came from Oprah's Angel Network and the belief that as a Society we

must all do our part to give back to those less fortunate.

As a Child Protection Worker and as a former Child and Youth Worker,

Co- Founders,  Denise Stahl and Gina MacGregor have experienced  first hand

the negative effects on children and their families that violence, abuse,

homelessness, poverty and/or neglect can have.

As Coordinator and  Secretary of the Breakfast with Santa Foundation-East Chapter

both Denise Stahl and Gina MacGregor soon realized that their vision and dreams of providing a program to underprivileged children that specifically addressed their

personal wishes and dreams exceeded the ability that the  Breakfast with Santa

Foundation was able to offer. Thus  Dreams and Wishes was founded in April 2008.

Currently 'Dreams & Wishes' operates in consultation with a Board of Directors.

All members are Volunteers.
